UPDATED: The Florida Board of Professional Engineers has approved an emergency rule temporarily expanding the use of electronically or digitally signed and sealed engineering plans and documents to include printed copies in order to effectuate the Governor and State Health Officer’s orders regarding self-quarantine to prevent the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

UPDATED: The cancellation of the April 2020 paper-and-pencil exam administration affected approximately 16,000 examinees. To accommodate these examinees, the format of the October 2020 exam administration will be modified.

Some Pearson VUE test centers are resuming testing. Test centers will be operating in compliance with local guidelines and restrictions. Examinees should verify test center requirements before arriving. In most cases, test centers will require examinees to wear face masks for admittance.

Most everyone in the known world is hunkered down in hoping for some relief from COVID-19. Our staff continues to work, albeit on a modified schedule. Nevertheless, we are committed to serving the licensees of this state and will continue to do all we can to complete the work that protects the public’s health, safety, and welfare.
