Chair’s Corner: Remembering the Engineers’ Creed

Not too long ago I brought up the Engineers’ Creed to a young engineer, to which he replied, “I didn’t know engineers had one.” I said we did and that it has had an influence on many engineers, myself included, as to how we practice engineering. His comment reminded me that I, too, was unaware there was an Engineers’ Creed as a young engineer until someone pointed it out to me.

CE Rules Changes: How They Affect PEs and Providers

It’s about that time again… when approximately 41,000 licensed Professional Engineers in Florida will be completing their 18 required continuing education hours in order to renew their licenses. These CEHs are mandated under the Florida Administrative Code. Out of these 18 CEHs, at least six must be obtained through providers approved by the Florida Board of Professional Engineers

FEMC Annual Report 2018

2018 FEMC Annual Report Highlights

The Florida Engineers Management Corporation produces an annual report as required by Florida Statutes. The report is submitted to FBPE, the Secretary of DBPR, and the Florida Legislature by Oct. 1 each year. It reports on the status of the corporation, including information concerning FEMC programs and funding, as well as information regarding licenses and complaints handled by FEMC.
