Friday, March 28-29, 2014, marked FBPE’s third year participating the ASCE Southeast Student Conference. The conference consists of two major competitions, the Steel Bridge Competition and the Concrete Canoe Competition, along with 13 smaller competitions. Every year, student chapters from across the nation gather in one place to compete and promote engineering excellence. This year’s conference was held at USF in Tampa, and FBPE staff were in attendance as judges in the Steel Bridge competition, as well as speaking at the conference’s business meeting.
Over 1,000 students from 24 Southeastern Universities participated in civil engineering related competitions and allowed FBPE to show its support of this incredible engineering event and also promote licensure with students and faculty advisers.
