The COVID-19 coronavirus is still a topic that cannot be ignored in conversation, media, or daily activities. I don’t know of anyone who has not been touched by this virus, and pray that those of you reading this are well and continue to be so.
Over the next few months, just over 3 percent of Florida’s more than 43,000 Professional Engineers will be audited to verify completion of their continuing education.
In June 2021, Gov. Ron DeSantis reappointed four members — Dylan Albergo, PE; C. Kevin Fleming, PE; Pankaj (PJ) Shah, PE; and Babu Varghese, PE, SI, CGC, CCC — and named four new members — Jeb Mulock, PE; Yassi Myers, PE; John Pistorino, PE; and Denise Ramsey, PE — to the Board.
When universities turned to online classes and employers issued work-from-home orders to halt the spread of the coronavirus, FBPE’s outreach efforts adjusted to meet those new challenges.
FBPE applauds those who passed NCEES exams in the previous quarter. We wish them much success as they move toward the next step in their engineering careers.
FBPE staff returned to Kimley-Horn’s Orlando office on Monday, June 28, 2021, to discuss the Principles & Practice of Engineering exam, getting and maintaining a Professional Engineering license, and professional ethics at a brown-bag luncheon.
The registration window for the October 2021 pencil-and-paper administrations of the Principles & Practice of Engineering exam is open through 3 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 26, 2021.
