Over 60 PEs Disciplined for CE Violations

Over 60 Professional Engineers licensed in Florida have been disciplined by FBPE for failing to complete the required continuing education during the 2015-17 renewal period. CE audits to resume after renewal ends.

Current licenses for continuing education providers will expire on May 31, 2019. Beginning March 1, 2019, CE providers will be able to access their accounts and renew their license and courses. Here are instructions to assist providers in renewing their licenses.

I lost a long-time friend and mentor in September, writes John R. Hall, PE and past-president of FNSPE. Henn Rebane was a champion for engineering throughout his more than 60 years in the profession. I don’t know of anyone in Florida who gave more to our profession.

NCEES Issues Statement on NTSB Gas Explosion Report

In a statement issued in late November, NCEES commended the National Transportation Safety Board for recommending that Massachusetts eliminate the PE license exemption for public utility work and require a PE seal on engineering drawings for public utility projects.
