On Friday, Oct. 25, 2019, FBPE staff met with two classes of senior engineering students at the University of West Florida. FBPE Executive Director Zana Raybon discussed becoming a Professional Engineer with nearly 70 students in the Capstone Design classes taught by Dr. Thomas Gilbar, associate chair of Hal Marcus College of Electrical and Computer Engineering, and visiting instructor Dr. Carolyn Mattick.
Dr. Gilbar’s class was split between UWF’s Fort Walton Beach campus and its main campus in Pensacola, where students participated from a distance-learning classroom. Dr. Mattick’s class was entirely at the main campus in Pensacola and participated via the closed-circuit video connection.
