Professional Engineers licensed in Florida must use the free NCEES CPC Tracking system to report continuing-education courses.

As a Florida PE, you must complete 18 hours of continuing education every biennium. You will need to use NCEES CPC Tracking to report your completed courses.

Only Florida laws and rules courses will be reported directly by CE providers. Log into your myfloridalicense.com account to confirm that it shows you have completed the course. If it does not, your PE license will not renew; please contact your course’s provider.

The NCEES CPC Tracking system is separate from Florida’s licensing system at myfloridalicense.com. The two cannot be linked, and you will not see your CE records at myfloridalicense.com.

Also, you do not need to complete the Multi-State Licensure section if you are using your NCEES Record only to report your continuing education.

The following instructions will step you through the process of reporting your CE hours and documentation using the NCEES CPC Tracking system.

Log In or Create a CPC Tracking Account

Log into your account at MyNCEES.

If you have registered with NCEES for an exam or NCEES Records anytime since October 2010, you already have an NCEES account. Log in and then skip to Step 4.

If you do not have an NCEES account, continue to next step.

Add Board and Renewal Period

The renewal period that NCEES is asking for is the time frame during which you took your continuing education courses. Be sure to use the correct dates: March 1, 2023, through Feb. 28, 2025.

To add the Florida PE Board (i.e. the Florida Board of Professional Engineers) to your CPC Tracking account, please click the “Enter and upload CPC courses” link on your dashboard.

Add Courses and CE Documentation

Steps 10 through 15 show you how to add a continuing education course and upload its documentation to your CPC Tracking record. Repeat these steps as many times as needed to completely report your 18 hours of continuing education.

NCEES uses different nomenclature for the CE categories:

  • “Ethics” for the ethics course (one hour)
  • “Laws and Regulation” for a Florida Laws and Rules course (one hour)
  • “Technical” for courses related to your area of practice (four hours)
  • “Business Practice” or “Any” for courses related to any topic pertinent to the practice of engineering (12 hours).

Add a course to your Florida record by clicking the “Add Course” button.

(If you received only one certificate for multiple CE courses at, for instance, a conference, please read “Chair’s Corner: Tips for Reporting Multiple CE Credits With One Certificate.”)

Send Your Continuing Education Transcript to FBPE

Do not send an incomplete CE transcript. Wait until you have completed and documented all of your continuing-education courses to send your report to the Board.

Once you have completed your 18 hours of continuing education for the current biennium, select the Florida PE board in the upper right of your CPC Tracking page.
