How to Report Your CE: An NCEES CPC Tracking Step-by-Step

Log into your account at MyNCEES.

If you have registered with NCEES for an exam or NCEES Records anytime since October 2010, you already have an NCEES account. Log in and then skip to Step 4.

If you do not have an NCEES account, continue to next step.

If you do not already have an NCEES account, click the “Create an account” button.

(If you already have an NCEES account and have logged in, skip to Step 4.)

Continue to next step.

Complete the online form to create your NCEES account.

You do not need to complete the Multi-State Licensure section if you are using your NCEES account only to report your continuing education.

To add the Florida PE Board (i.e. the Florida Board of Professional Engineers) to your CPC Tracking account, please click the “Enter and upload CPC courses” link on your dashboard.

Each state licensing board for which you would like to track your CPC requirements must be added to your account. Click “Add a board” at top right of the Courses window.

Select the state licensing board that you want to add. PEs licensed in Florida should select “Florida PE” from the list of boards.

Click the “Add Renewal Period” button for Florida.

By renewal period, NCEES is asking for the time frame during which you took your continuing education courses. You should enter the dates below for the renewal period:

• Add the start date for Florida: March 1, 2023.
• Add the end date for Florida: Feb. 28, 2025.

Make sure that the current biennium (referred to by NCEES as the renewal period) is selected in the dropdown menu on the Florida PE page in your record.

Add a course to your Florida record by clicking the “Add Course” button.

(If you received only one certificate for multiple CE courses at, for instance, a conference, please read “Chair’s Corner: Tips for Reporting Multiple CE Credits With One Certificate.”)

Complete the form with all of the details about the continuing education course that you are adding. Please refer to your course documentation or certificate for the correct course title, provider, etc.

In the “Area” dropdown menu, select:

• “Business Practice” for courses related to any topic pertinent to the practice of engineering
• “Ethics” for the ethics course
• “Laws and Regulation” for a Florida Laws and Rules course
• “Technical” for courses related to your area of practice.

A message will display at the top of this page when the course has been added to your record.

To add certificates or other documentation to the course, click the “Add Document” button. Documentation must be in PDF form.

If your CE documentation reflects multiple hours earned during an engineering conference, the PDF documentation should only be uploaded with the first course listed. It is not necessary to upload the same PDF multiple times.

Select the “Browse” button to locate the PDF of the course documentation on your computer that you want to upload to the course record. Include a comment explaining what the documentation is.

When the document has been uploaded, you will see it listed at the bottom of the page for the course.

If you have more continuing education courses and documentation to add, return to Step 10 and repeat as many times as needed.

Otherwise, continue to the next step.

The CPC Tracking page will list your continuing education courses as they are added and show your completed CE hours for Florida. If you do not see one of your courses listed, make sure that you entered the correct date for the course, the correct renewal period for the course, and added it to the Florida PE Board.

Once all of your continuing education courses appear on this page, it is time to send your completed CE transcript to FBPE.

Once you have completed your 18 hours of continuing education for the current biennium, select the Florida PE board in the upper right of your CPC Tracking page.

With the current renewal period selected, click the “Actions” button.

Continue to next step.

Under the “Actions” dropdown menu, select “Download/Send Transcript.” This will allow you to send your CE transcript to FBPE.

Click the “Send to Board” button to submit your transcript to FBPE.

If you previously submitted your transcript to FBPE, the date will be shown just above the “Send to Board” button.

You will see a notice at the top of the CPC Tracking page that indicates that your continuing education transcript has been transmitted to the Board.

Shortly after you transmit your CPC transcript to FBPE, you will receive a confirmation email at the address in your NCEES account.

FBPE will begin verifying completion of continuing education after renewal closes.
