Returning to the University of Florida’s Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering, FBPE staff provided around 70 students taking an Introduction to Civil Engineering class with information about becoming a Professional Engineer on Thursday, March 29, 2018.
FBPE Executive Director Zana Raybon, joined by Assistant Executive Director Rebecca Sammons and Public Information Officer William Lampkin, explained the steps for preparing for and taking the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam, and requirements for earning experience and taking the Principles & Practice (PE) exam to earn licensure.
The class introduces sophomores and juniors to the broad field of civil engineering and helps them determine which area they might want to focus their studies.
