Florida Board of Professional Engineers staff partnered with members of the American Concrete Institute/American Society of Civil Engineers/Florida Engineering Society Student Chapter at the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering for the 2018 Kidsfest in Tallahassee.

The 18th annual event was organized by Kids Incorporated, a nonprofit agency providing Early Head Start services in the Big Bend area, and was held Saturday, May 5, in Cascades Park.

FBPE Executive Director Zana Raybon handed out STEM activity sheets, color-changing FBPE cups, pencils, and other goodies to kids and their families who stopped by the booth. The engineering students helped kids explore engineering by working with them to construct a bridge using only interlocking wood strips.
