Professional Engineers should be wary of telephone calls claiming to have information regarding benefits available to engineers in Florida.
Professional Engineers have reported receiving calls regarding “changes in benefits” being offered to engineers by the State of Florida. Callers purport to be phoning on behalf of groups such as the “State License Benefits Association.” They may ask that you provide personal information or upload documents through a website.
We have no knowledge of changes that would provide state benefits for engineers.
Report these calls or any other suspicious calls to the Federal Trade Commission at reportfraud.ftc.gov and donotcall.gov.
