Professional Engineers who renew their Florida licenses early can save $10 on their renewal fee.
Renew between Monday, Nov. 5, 2018, and Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2019, and pay $88.75, rather than the usual $98.75 fee. (Both totals include a mandatory fee to combat unlicensed activity.) The discount applies only to current and active licenses.
The discount is to encourage PEs to renew early and not wait until the last minute. After Jan. 15, 2019, the renewal fee returns to $98.75.
The discounted rate does not apply to delinquent licenses (nor to renewing Certificates of Authorization). For information on renewing your deliquent license, visit the License Renewal page on this website.
Don’t forget, your PE license will expire on Feb. 28, 2019, and you will no longer be able to sign and seal engineering documents beginning March 1, 2019. Also, Certificates of Authorization for engineering businesses also expire Feb. 28, 2019.
