On Friday, March 2, at the 2018 ASCE Southeast Student Conference, teams of engineering students set up their concrete canoe displays on the Stadium North Lawn at the University of Florida.
The displays included data on construction of the canoes (such as cost, time, and safety requirements), samples of the materials used in construction, often a cross-section of the canoe construction, and decorations based on the theme of the canoe.
Earlier in the day, teams gave presentations about the canoes and their construction to judges.
