FBPE Investigators completed a tour of the CDS Concrete Plant located in Gretna that included observing each step of their processes, such as how concrete is mixed, use of lime baths, sump testing, and the pouring of pre-stressed beams.
They were provided detailed information on all aspects of making concrete beams, pillars, and various other building/support structures, use of machinery, and how strength test are conducted.
Established in 1999, CDS Manufacturing Inc. is a producer of precast and prestressed concrete products. There are two CDS Casting Yards located in Florida, one in Gretna housed in a 30,000-square-foot facility on 55 acres, and one in Vero Beach located on 15 acres.
