The registration window for the October 2021 pencil-and-paper administrations of the Principles & Practice of Engineering exam is open through 3 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 26.
In Florida, candidates wishing to take any PE or the Fundamentals of Engineering exam should register directly with NCEES. You do not have to register with FBPE, and you are not limited by the number of times you may take an exam.
PE exams will be administered on the day assigned as follows:
Thursday, Oct. 21, 2021:
- Civil: Construction
- Civil: Transportation
- Civil: Water Resources and Environmental
- SE Vertical Forces Bridges
- SE Vertical Forces Buildings
Friday, Oct. 22, 2021:
- Control Systems
- Civil: Geotechnical
- Civil: Structural
- Metallurgical/Materials
- SE Lateral Forces Bridges
- SE Lateral Forces Buildings
All exam sites are proceeding with reduced-capacity restrictions in place, according to NCEES. Changes to state and local requirements may effect the number of examinees that are able to test at a specific site. NCEES will continue to monitor these changes through exam day.
PE exam disciplines not listed above have transitioned to computer-based testing. Most disciplines are available for scheduling year-round testing; the remaining disciplines are available for single-day administrations. See the NCEES CBT transition schedule for more information.
FBPE is not involved with the administration of exams. Please contact NCEES directly with any questions.
