Situated in the heart of the Gaines Street revitalization area, between the Florida State University campus and the ongoing roadway construction, an area marked by old under-used warehouses and other structures that stands as a reminder of days long gone in the Capital City’s history is to be remade into a “little town within a city.” Seminole Boosters are calling it Tallahassee’s “College Town.”
College Town will contain 72 housing units with a total of 136-bed rooms, for student housing, 22,500 square feet of restaurant space, and 18,500 square feet of retail within several structures centered along Madison Street and Woodward Avenue. Completion of the redevelopment is scheduled to be completed in 2013.
