DESCRIPTION:Based on the information we are receiving from the National Weather Service and also the fact that Gov. Rick Scott has declared a state emergency in Florida due to Hurricane Matthew\, we are canceling the FBPE Structural Rules Committee Meeting scheduled for 8:30 am on Wednesday\, October 12\, 2016. \nEven though the storm may not directly hit Orlando\, the impact on travel and the ability of first responders to adequately perform their duties will be affected by having more traffic on the highways.  In addition\, the Orlando area will almost certainly serve as a sheltering location for those displaced by the storm. \nWe will plan to take care of any critical matters by telephone in the weeks following the hurricane\, either during application review or the ratification call in November\, or via a schedule telephone conference. \nIf you have any questions or concerns\, please call the FBPE office at (850) 521-0500 or send an email to board@fbpe.org.
