All engineering degree programs on the Daytona Beach campus are accredited by ABET (the Engineering Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology). ABET Inc. is the recognized accrediting agency for college and university programs in applied science, computing, engineering, and technology. ABET accreditation is assurance that a college or university program meets the quality standards established by the profession for which it prepares its students.
The university is a major research center, seeking solutions to real-world problems in partnership with the aerospace industry, other universities and government agencies.
