 Continuing Education Information for Licensees

Biennial License Renewal Fee
Current Active = $105.00 *
Current Inactive = $105.00 *

* Because of a 2007 Legislative Act, the renewal fee was reduced to a $5 Unlicensed Activity fee for the 2009 Renewal Cycle.  This fee also includes the delinquent fees for licenses not renewed before February 28, 2009. ($100.00)

 Continuing Education Requirements
Eight (8) Professional Development Hours of board-approved continuing education is required each licensee prior to the end of the renewal period.  Four (4) hours must be Laws & Rules of Chapter 471 and 61G15 F.A.C. and four (4) hours of Areas of Practice.  The license biennium is from March 1, 2007 through February 28, 2009.

A person who was licensed during the March 2007 – February 2009 biennium and passes the Florida Exam shall be exempt from Continuing Education.  However, the licensee is required to pay the renewal fee.

 If licensure was achieved in the State of Florida by Endorsement (Comity) during the March 2007 – February 2009 biennium, the licensee shall be required to complete all continuing education requirements and pay the renewal fee. (See continuing education requirements above.)

  Continuing Education Provider Reporting Tool  - For Providers Approved for 2009 through 2011

CE Providers who are approved to offer continuing education must now report the hours directly to the Department of Business and Professional Regulation using the DBPR CE Reporting Tool.  All FBPE course providers for Areas of Practice and Laws & Rules are required to report all course information directly to the DBPR.  Below is the link to download the reporting tool from the DBPR website and the instruction manual on how to use the reporting tools.  If you have any problems using the reporting tool, please contact Nancy Wilkins at nwilkins@fbpe.org
